Katelin was nominated by Tony Lamb. Katelin has been helping Tony with the Columbia Middle School Alpha Net Team. Tony has been so thankful and appreciative of Katelin's help. Let's get to know a little bit about Katlin!!!
*What are some of your hobbies?
1. Shopping at the dollar isle at Target.
2. Looking at photography, wedding, and event blogs.
3. Organizing and decorating for events
4. Giving gifts
*What all do you do at New Hope/ Where do you volunteer?
-Alpha Club at Columbia Middle School
-Alpha Creative Team
-Producer of Creative Team for Children’s Church
(New Hope Kids)
-Children’s Church Music Team
-Choir & Praise Team in the Sanctuary
*What’s the most amazing thing about helping with CMS?
Well, having a little bit of history there (went to 6th grade) I have a heart for the kids at that school in particular. Knowing the transition stage that middle school brings and the influence this school has… my heart is to see change! Change in what is “normal” in the walls of CMS.
I have gotten close with a lot of girls the last 2 years and am constantly burdened with the future these girls could have… if they could only grasp that there is more out there than what the seems to be important right now in their lives.
*What’s your favorite ice cream?
Hm this is a hard one… its between Coffee and Pralines and Cream Crunch
*Favorite color?
Another hard one, Gray… and any bright color!
Yellow, Orange, Eggplant, Aqua, Lime Green
(They are my new obsession… it changes often)
*If you could do anything (money wasn’t an option) what would you do?
Well I do love event planning… I’d have to say in a big picture… Id love to own a breath taking building to rent and hold events, while running a magazine and planning events of course! But all with purpose… one, to do what I love… but also find ways to help those who can’t afford, or need some kind of direction. With being in the wedding industry I hope to make an impact on the truth in a marriage that divorce isn’t or shouldn’t be a thought.
*What’s the most important thing about you?
I try to be all around real…, as transparency as it gets it seems, even when it’s hard.
*What’s your favorite part about being apart of the Alpha Net?
-Being able to put my creative touch into something I believe in, while touching lives.
-Having people around to help my love for God and others flourish.
-Knowing it’s the place for me… My 2nd Home/Family
*Tell us something that many people don’t know about you?
I almost left town to go to the Art Institute of Atlanta… went through the interview and got accepted and was ecstatic…until I walked through the doors of the actual facility and felt the heaviest weight of the secular world ever … went straight to my mom and said “never mind, this isn’t the place for me”

I can’t honestly think of one in particular so I’ll go with one that I am constantly reminded of…
On my first birthday I would dig in to my cupcake because I didn’t want to get dirty so my sisters planned to shove it into my face… They loved me…
